About Kourtney

Kourtney Hanks, FNP-C, CNM started Corvallis Pediatrics after following a winding road that seemed to always be leading here. She started her career at Corvallis Birth and Wellness Center where she worked first as a midwife and then started a pediatric practice after having multiple families come back and mention that they were looking for pediatric care that was more in line with the care they received during their pregnancy- more individualized and personal.

After 5 years of living a double life, providing pediatric care by day and often delivering babies by night, Kourtney decided it was time to make a change. Her family needed her to have a more consistent schedule and she wanted more time with them. Her first change led her to a big practice. This move taught her that she likes to know her patients and desires a more personalized experience. She quickly moved from this to a small practice that gave her the patient care model she desired- intimate and with enough time to address parent concerns and patient needs. Now it is time to bring that care model she started while at the birth center and honed over the last 2 years back to Corvallis. She wants her care to be accessible to families and for them to feel like they can ask her anything.

Kourtney holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. With nine years of dedicated practice, she brings a wealth of experience to her role.

Outside of the clinic, Kourtney is an active member of the Corvallis community, serving on the Corvallis Little League board. She enjoys cooking, reading, cheering on the Beavers, camping, and exploring national parks. Most often, you can find her at a Corvallis park, enjoying time with her two boys—pushing them on a swing or tossing a baseball.
